I was grateful to be asked to play drums on some of the music featured here filmed live at RAK Studios in St John’s Wood, London. Sadly this turned out to be the last session that the legendary bassist Mo Foster played on shortly before he passed away. The documentary turned out to be a wonderful tribute to Mo. 🙏🏻
Here is a video playing ‘If I Play My Cards Right’, by the mighty Tower of Power.
This was arranged for by the great UK bassist Laurence Cottle for his big band. This was fun to play too… Here I tried to play my take on this track, whilst at the same time acknowledging the original drum track performed by the great David Garibaldi with Tower of Power.

This was s little while ago and since this point my ideas around the subjects presented have progressed a little. Not least of all my change from traditional grip to matched grip.
