The World's Greatest Drummer Concerts


The first World's Greatest Drummer Concert was held at the end of the Summer 2007. These concerts have attracted more than just drummers and are a celebration of the forefathers of modern drumming. The brainchild of Ian and his late friend Jon Brookes of English rock band The Charlatans, The World's Greatest Drummer concerts have featured some the greatest drummers in the world today including Steve Gadd, Steve Smith, Keith Carlock and Ian Paice, all paying homage to some of the great originators of modern drumming.

The last World's Greatest Drummer Concert featured Benny Greb, Mark Mondesir and Pete Cater.

The WGD concerts have grown each year into one of the most anticipated events of the UK drumming calendar. The concert celebrates the great forefathers of modern drumming and features Ian's long time friend Pete Cater, along with his fifteen-piece big band made up of a selection of the UK's finest session musicians.
